Research references

These references concern individual ingredients or different treatment protocols. They are not clinical trials of the finished American BioLabs system and do not establish that this system will produce the same results. Individual results may vary.

1. Procyanidin B2

Kamimura, Takahashi and Watanabe, 2000. A small placebo-controlled study of a 1% topical procyanidin B2 tonic over six months.

Read the study on PubMed — PMID 11194183

2. Adenosine

Watanabe et al., 2015. Topical adenosine compared with a niacinamide lotion in 102 Japanese men. Treatment was twice daily for six months, unlike this system's once-weekly routine.

Read the study on PubMed — PMID 25925959

3. Caffeine

Dhurat et al., 2017. An open-label comparison of a 0.2% caffeine liquid and 5% minoxidil. An ingredient comparison is not evidence of equivalence for the finished ABL system.

Read the study on PubMed — PMID 29055953

4. Microneedling

Dhurat et al., 2013. A pilot study comparing microneedling plus 5% minoxidil with minoxidil alone. This does not validate a different needle depth or the ABL serum protocol.

Read the study on PubMed — PMID 23960389
